The Beta Project (aka “Beta”)
Beta is a robot, he is blue and has green eyes, and is equipped with a superior laser gun. He is the fifty-second experiment created by Maj, unique by his ability to feel love and have feelings. When he was originally created, he was rather dim and quiet, but he quickly became very considerate and intellectual. Beta is the most capable of his friends, because he is loyal and honest, but is of course, a robot, and sometimes has troubles understanding fellow ademais. He is in love with Kiana.
Kiana Silver
The future lass of the Campian, one of a few females left on board, and the only one able to have a baby. She is a snow leopard, and very hot headed. Because of her brashness she often finds herself jumping into things, but is also very thoughtful, witty and tactical. Kiana’s mother died when she was six, leaving her in the hands of her father, the captain of the Campian. She is very close with her mentor Maj, who trains her in engineering, and Beta, to whom she has a very strange relationship with.
Maj
A mechanic who has a passion for creating robots, including Alpha and Beta. She is a Siamese cat, and the last in a long family history, although neither of her parents are ever mentioned. She was a very close friend of Rosa, the last lass of the Campian. She is very witty and spunky, and very hyperactive and silly, despite being one of the oldest on the Campian. She created her robots so she would have a successor, and was often teased for her failure, little did her peers know her true intention was to create a robot almost indistinguishable from an ademais. She is photophobic.
Judas Silver (aka "The Captain”)
The Captain of the Campian, he is a Persian cat. He is very loyal and stern, and dislikes being called anything other than ‘The Captain.’ He is also very ignorant and arrogant, and has gathered much criticism from his peers, but is only a bit brash and conclusive. He was one married to Rosa, and he has a daughter, Kiana. After Rosa died the Captain decided that Kiana was to be protected in case she ran away. He is not overprotective, but believes that letting Kiana to roam free would cause her too choose a poor husband.
The Alpha Project (aka “Alpha”)
Maj’s fifty-third experiment, created a few years after Beta. She is a dark yellow robot, and lacks Beta’s thoughtfulness and love. She lacks any form of desire or love, and, while not emotionless, is very cold and quiet. She is easily manipulated, and has trouble deciding whom she should trust.
